A SCIDpda Program

Legacy House is a program of Seattle Chinatown-International District Preservation and Development Authority (SCIDpda). The mission is to preserve, promote and develop the Seattle Chinatown International District as a vibrant community and unique ethnic neighborhood.

SCIDpda established Legacy House in 1998 in response to the need for affordable, culturally-responsive services for the neighborhood's increasingly aging and low-income population. The vision for Legacy House was developed in collaboration with the community partners. Legacy House has received multiple awards for its innovative approach and has become a model for multi-cultural service providers across the nation. Legacy House is the only assisted-living facility in Seattle with an emphasis on serving multi-Asian clientele.
